Special Envoy Duwai-Sowa had an engaging discourse on educational development with Mr. Emmanuel Allie, Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Coordinator during a recent meeting at the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) in Freetown. At the meeting, Mr. Allie shared his insightful perspectives on foundational learning and the imperative of empowering school-going children, particularly those residing in the uplands.
Mr. Allie underscored the necessity of creating STEM centers and developing digital applications designed to enhance students’ critical thinking abilities. He articulated a compelling vision: by instilling a solid foundation of learning in young children, from preschool through elementary levels, we can significantly improve their academic performance as they advance to junior and senior secondary education.
